Booking Rules:

Arranging trips and holidays is not easy. People who have pre-booked often have to drop out, for a variety of good reasons, but this can often leave the organiser with a trip already booked and usually paid for.
These simple rules will therefore apply to ensure that the person who has taken the trouble to organise a trip isn't disadvantaged and that everyone who books a trip is fully aware of the terms that apply.
A deposit or the full cost of the trip/holiday, at the organisers discretion, will be sought on booking. Where interest outstrips availability a reserve list will be kept.
The organiser will let everyone know what fees are payable on booking and when balances are due.
Should someone who has booked and paid for a trip have to drop out, for any reason, it is their responsibility to find a replacement, unless someone on the reserve list is available. The person who has dropped out is responsible for negotiating and agreeing reimbursement from the replacement. Once paid the original money paid is not refundable, unless the whole trip is cancelled. The trips arranged cater for people of different abilities and training. It would be unacceptable to find a replacement who is not suitably qualified or experienced for the trip in question. The organiser has the final say in this matter in the event of dispute, just be sensible.
In the event that weather or other uncontrollable circumstances force a trip to be rearranged, and someone who was booked on the original trip is unable to make the new date the organiser will take all steps to find a replacement. In the event that this cannot be achieved money paid will be refunded where this doesn't financially disadvantage the organiser.
Where a trip is simply cancelled all money is refunded.

All that said we have never had a problem, this is more a preventative measure.
