June 2009
.
This is the tenth year of Aquaventure scuba club, and it is time for a refreshed look to how the club operates. The club established to train people and importantly to keep them diving. Unfortunately over the past couple of years the number of trips arranged has declined as the longer standing members became overly busy with the day jobs. It is now time to up the number and variety of dive trips to accommodate a wide range of experiences and interests that exist amongst members.
To this end some members will be asked to arrange trips throughout the 2009 season, please try to support them in this as it is difficult to arrange all the necessary aspects.
In addition the club now have full access to a dive rib in Weymouth run by one of the club instructors. this again opens up opportunities to the club at a very competitive rate.
Dive holidays are arranged for Gozo, Barbados and the Red Sea over the next year.
The club boasts new instructors in Mike De mar and Neill Phillip and with Phil Packer passing his Divemaster with Shaun Benden, Steve Blake and Martin Munday well into their Divemaster training there is no end of help for existing and new members.
All this adds up to a more proactive year for 2009 so, jump in, you may enjoy it!
